Yo all

Camping and caravan sites close to town in extreme rarity these days. attached is a list of sites from Yell.co.uk. Some of them are a fair way out.

You may also like to try Abbey Farm by the TV mast they sometimes have let people camp in the small area between the farm and the old coastguard lookout.

I am assuming that Folly Gardens up Green Lane has been tried but I don't have the number anyway.

You could also do what a lot of people do and that is take a chance and camp overnight in the abbey car park! However, I must warn you that it is not allowed and you may get moved on.

The first six are the closest.

There are other camp sites on the west side of town on the way out to Sandsend but I cant seem to find the details from home. I have them on my works computer so I'll add them to this thread tomorrow night hopefully.

The nearest site that will take tents is:

Broadings Farm, Guisborough Road – Mr & Mrs Morley Tel 01947 601542

This is a certified location for the Caravan Club... Very basic facilities ie water and a loo...

Hi All

Please note Stoupes Cross no longer takes any tents or touring caravans including camper vans. They do however have a number of static caravans which they rent out.

Cheers

I'm afraid the sair team are homeless due to a Landlord who allowed my friend Soldierboy to be shamelessly bullied. This was by a pile of sludge that collects in a corner by the bar, and seems to suffer from tourettes. And so we have to make a stand. No folk day.
But it is hoped that a former representative from what is now a sewage collection point will be present.

No Folk day at The Sair. That's right dozy rozy. The clientele has gone down the tubes BUT this is probably meant for a different thread to discuss at length elsewhwere. Perhaps a different thread is warranted.
