Guys, we just need to choose a more appropriate place to discuss it.

We've been asked to keep it off this thread. Let's do that.

Yes, Bubblyrat and Concertina Chap, I thought you - and all the rest of the 'Hosepipe Banned' - were just brilliant.
As for Humpty Dumpty and Nellie the Elephant..... I don't think they managed to find us at all - but all the lambs in the next field still haven't stopped dancing.

The diddles in the hotel, as distinct from the concert hall, bar diddled molto furioso, although I think I heard two slow airs.

I stood alongside Concertina Chap at Sue's memorable, if somewhat remote ( ! ) Good Friday Night, moonlit, al fresco, terpsichorean extravaganza , and I thought that we were JOLLY GOOD, and not at all " humpty "----Why not ask Sue herself ??

I too tried the bar session at F&G.

The diddly wasn't toooooo diddly, the humpty was great, but agreed the venue not very conducive to song.

We even played a few other types of things, bit of American, bit of Playford ...

Well, I went to the fringe at Fareham and Gosport, (not the concerts) and it was not in the same ball-park. Very little song, and a huge amount of diddling and humpty.

Well we danced on the friday with Sue, then we had a Pub session in The Tree Inn at Stratton on Saturday, today we have had a barbecue and session / sing and tomorrow we are out with the morris (Trigg), so we have had a semi miskin time. We watched a video I compiled for Andy (wot he hasnt got yet) at 9.30, of Last years festival, with music soundtrack provided by guests who were there and raised a glass, had a photo taken of the event and recorded a video clip of the 'Missing Miskin' song we composed on the way back to the car on Saturday night!"
When i have recovered on Tuesday I will get them where you can all go look!

I spent Easter cleaning out my garden sheds and my cellar! Not quite what I`m used to doing at this time of year but I made good use of the time. I`ve spent all week celebrating my birthday and just had a little rest from it before I start again tomorrow! Happy Easter everyone see you at Miskin next year. X

We did it. In order to maintain a Miskin tradition, we 'danced on the Friday when the sky turned black' - and a wonderful dark moonlit night it was too.
About 20 of us met at 'Not-Miskin in North Devon' and, in the same way as other morris traditions are said to dance in order to encourage the crops to grow, we danced for the return of 'Miskin at Easter' in 2008.
MiskinMan, thank you for arranging such glorious weather for us. I hope you can manage the same for 2008!

Sue
