The mention of Honor Blackman reminds me of the old groaner of a joke:

"I see that the actress from The Avengers has been arrested for speeding"

"Honor Blackman ?."

" No,on a Motorbike"

I am fed up with getting me coat!

Funnily enough, just heard Joan Bakewell being interviewed on the radio this morning, and her title of "thinking man's crumpet" came up. She reckoned that as this has followed her now through many decades, it will probably be incribed on her grave.

Following George P's list of chocolates, how about this one:
The Thinking Woman's Walnut Whip ?

I'll second whoever suggested Kevin McCloud. I would also be very happy to engage in many hours of intellectual discourse with Michael Wood (male equivalent to Bettany Hughes), Rod Liddell, Jeremy Paxman, Alan Rickman, Will Self (He's my favourite, because he is also extremely funny). Aah well....I wish....

I think that all men are the same regarding totty watching but sometimes they like to impress us by trying to look more intellectual!

What about the "thinking woman's hunk"?

Honor Blackman, Diana Rigg's predecessor in 'The Avengers.'

Remember that leather suit?
And she can sing!

Yes, Dolly Parton. One of the most intelligent, personable, witty, talented, down-to-earth people I have ever seen on the TV. And, she's a looker, too.

Of course, I could name women I have personally met, but, you don't know her.

Ruth your surname is one I have only heard of once in my life. Are you related to Rhona or Rona Jones, nee Crump of Bolton.

BTW my nickname is "The Cloakroom Attendant" because when any of my men rings me with a query I cannot answer immediately I am alleged to reply "Just leave it with me"

Lastly does my mention of my 'Ginger Nuts' cut any ice with you ?:

Crikey - I am doing well!

I should clarify that as my surname is Crump, the nickname "crumpet" has followed me around for many years, hence my rather forward assertion.

But as I appear to have pulled, I'm not complaining.

:D

Ruth luv

If things don't work out with you and ib48 can I be his reserve?. I don't do 'smutty' remarks but once you have seen my Ginger Nuts he is dead in the water.

For the thiking woman it must be a 'Maid of Honour' for my nomination, that is if there any left these days.Or a Nice Biscuit.

Definitely not an "Oven Bottom" though

Jim

Ferrero Rocher? Too obvious.
Cadbury's Creme Egg? No, that's for Chavesses.
Toblerone is strictly for mathematicians.
And Mars Bar for astonomers.

Perhaps Leonidas "seashells"?

I will nominate Bettany Hughes the TV presenter of historical programmes. She has brains and beauty in abundance.
