I need a little help from the far side of the pond if possible. As quite a few of you may know I'm a Royal Navy photographer, and I've spent the past two days covering the return of the fifteen personell who have just come back from Iran.

One of my shots has been used in all of the UK press, it's of OM Aruthur Batchelor being hugged by a family member just after getting off the heilcopter. I know it was used on the New York Times website, but I'm just wondering if it got into the paper itself, if it did I'd really like a copy for my scrapbook and portfolio.

It also got onto the Aussie press websites, if it made it into the papers down under I'd love a copy.

I'll be more than happy to reimburse postage and other costs.

It was the lead photo on the CNN home web page yesterday. I don't know about the Times. Did you check on line?

He said it was there, Sorcha, and I saw it (complete with by-line!). Chris, I'll be going down to the local bookstore later today, and see if I see it there. Perhaps a Catter who lives in NY will weigh in. Contacting the Times directly will probably get you a copy of that page, at least. Try this e-mail address: [e-mail]

We get the NYT at work (National Edition). I can send it if it's there, but it'll be two or three weeks.

Hey, Phot and POD...no luck with NY Times - at least in Saturday's edition. Maybe Rapaire could check the Thursday and Friday papers. I did pick up a copy of USA Today with your photo on the front page. PM me with an address, and tell me if you just want the one sheet of newsprint (standard paper size, four sides) or the whole paper.

Just curious, don't they need to pay someone for those pictures they use, and shouldn't they know who you are if they're gonna use it?

I imagine that, as a Royal Navy photographer, his pictures are considered Government property.

My husband has the New York edition in the office, he'll bring them home tommorrow and I'll check through. Any clipping I can get out the door by any means necesary is a wonderful thing....
