Vegas should give even money on a Congressman being named and 2:1 odds for a Senator.

Persoanlly I don;t see a crime.

A crime but not as "sensational"...

Bush White House staffers have already been caught shop lifting at Target stores on camera.

One returned a TV off the shelf that he did not buy and the other put a package of bacon down his pants.

This is her vengence against the goverment prosecution

or

this is an evil plan devised by the demoncrats and defeatocrats of the democrap party to smear good family men of high moral fiber, if not superior virility, to maliciously destroy careers and families and hurt innocent children merely on a whim to play politics in the gutter.

Letterman actually used almost-the-same-joke two nights in a row.

First it was "she got paid with a dam project in her home state," Next night was the Naval Base.

One lady of the evening was rewarded with a Naval Base in her hometown.

These ladies dealt only with the higher echelon politicians. One was sent over to the Lincoln Memorial to give Abe a lap dance!

The scandal I'm waiting for is when some big-time anti-abortion loudmouth is exposed for having financed his girlfriend's abortion.

It's bound to happen. Washington is full of powerful, self-important men, representing all parts of the political spectrum, living away from home most of the time.

Right-wing types who sound off about "family values," etc., are bound to look more hypocritical when caught in this kind of scandal than more liberal characters who don't make their livings by condemning those whose "morals" fail to measure up. However, think about this:

These guys, who actually intend to keep their families together, avoid divorce, etc., are more likely to patronize prostitutes and pay for their away-from-home sexual release than out-and-out womanizers. The more footloose among high-powered cheaters are more likely to cultivate relationships with actual girlfriends ~ or, perhaps, to exploit starry-eyed young interns ~ but not "pay for it," at least not directly. (Of course, it takes money to keep a mistress, undoubtedly more than the cost of an occasional "happy-ending" massage.)

Haven't given my 2 cents worth for awhile, but couldn't resist this one ! My prediction... this will all be swept under the rug, just as it was with Bill Clinton. Look how squeaky clean Clinton came out of that 'scandal'. He not only recieves multi-thousands every time he opens his mouth, but is still regarded by most to be one of the most charasmatic, well spoken, and generally most well liked presidents of all time. And to boot, his wife is a front runner for the white house. Gotta love it ! This whole story is nothing more than garbage aimed at those who declare the National Enquirer a 'must read'. Bye for now.

From the Gospel of Bob.

Desolation Row

They're selling postcards of the hanging
They're painting the passports brown
The beauty parlor is filled with sailors
The circus is in town
Here comes the blind commissioner
They've got him in a trance
One hand is tied to the tight-rope walker
The other is in his pants
And the riot squad they're restless
They need somewhere to go
As Lady and I look out tonight
From Desolation Row

Cinderella, she seems so easy
"It takes one to know one," she smiles
And puts her hands in her back pockets
Bette Davis style
And in comes Romeo, he's moaning
"You Belong to Me I Believe"
And someone says," You're in the wrong place, my friend
You better leave"
And the only sound that's left
After the ambulances go
Is Cinderella sweeping up
On Desolation Row

Now the moon is almost hidden
The stars are beginning to hide
The fortunetelling lady
Has even taken all her things inside
All except for Cain and Abel
And the hunchback of Notre Dame
Everybody is making love
Or else expecting rain
And the Good Samaritan, he's dressing
He's getting ready for the show
He's going to the carnival tonight
On Desolation Row

Now Ophelia, she's 'neath the window
For her I feel so afraid
On her twenty-second birthday
She already is an old maid
To her, death is quite romantic
She wears an iron vest
Her profession's her religion
Her sin is her lifelessness
And though her eyes are fixed upon
Noah's great rainbow
She spends her time peeking
Into Desolation Row

Einstein, disguised as Robin Hood
With his memories in a trunk
Passed this way an hour ago
With his friend, a jealous monk
He looked so immaculately frightful
As he bummed a cigarette
Then he went off sniffing drainpipes
And reciting the alphabet
Now you would not think to look at him
But he was famous long ago
For playing the electric violin
On Desolation Row

Dr. Filth, he keeps his world
Inside of a leather cup
But all his sexless patients
They're trying to blow it up
Now his nurse, some local loser
She's in charge of the cyanide hole
And she also keeps the cards that read
"Have Mercy on His Soul"
They all play on penny whistles
You can hear them blow
If you lean your head out far enough
From Desolation Row

Across the street they've nailed the curtains
They're getting ready for the feast
The Phantom of the Opera
A perfect image of a priest
They're spoonfeeding Casanova
To get him to feel more assured
Then they'll kill him with self-confidence
After poisoning him with words
And the Phantom's shouting to skinny girls
"Get Outa Here If You Don't Know
Casanova is just being punished for going
To Desolation Row"

Now at midnight all the agents
And the superhuman crew
Come out and round up everyone
That knows more than they do
Then they bring them to the factory
Where the heart-attack machine
Is strapped across their shoulders
And then the kerosene
Is brought down from the castles
By insurance men who go
Check to see that nobody is escaping
To Desolation Row

Praise be to Nero's Neptune
The Titanic sails at dawn
And everybody's shouting
"Which Side Are You On?"
And Ezra Pound and T. S. Eliot
Fighting in the captain's tower
While calypso singers laugh at them
And fishermen hold flowers
Between the windows of the sea
Where lovely mermaids flow
And nobody has to think too much
About Desolation Row

Yes, I received your letter yesterday
(About the time the door knob broke)
When you asked how I was doing
Was that some kind of joke?
All these people that you mention
Yes, I know them, they're quite lame
I had to rearrange their faces
And give them all another name
Right now I can't read too good
Don't send me no more letters no
Not unless you mail them
From Desolation Row

The "sex" aspects of all this are about as interesting to me as who had the latest ugly little baby among hollyweird starlets and whether the father will leave his boyfriend to help care for the new child-toy.

I do find it offensive when people try to inflict their perverted morals on the rest of the world and then fail so spectacularly to observe them in their own life.

Up above a bit:

I bet the new NSA domestic spying "law" could help

Well:

Congress March 9, 2006: Justice Department officials must give reports to Congress by certain dates on how the FBI is using the USA Patriot Act to search homes and secretly seize papers.

Bush's signing statement: The president can order Justice Department officials to withhold any information from Congress if he decides it could impair national security or executive branch operations.

Don't hold your breath for an administration release of information...

It does appear, assuming that my quick look for something that passed by a while back does have the right "madam," that there actually is quite a lot of information that hasn't come out:

A rather dated article at the smoking gun posts extracts from the court "evidence" against this poor innocent lady that includes F.B.I. testimony that while she ran her escort business in Washington DC, her principal bank account was in California, and lots of her customers apparently sent checks directly to her bank account there. Records that the bank is required to keep should make it quite easy for the F.B.I. to identify large numbers of customers unambiguously, and there would seem to be few ways in which patrons could make this record of their payments disappear.

Those worried about their phone numbers being on her list can of course change their numbers, lose their cell phones, etc., and even credit card payments can always be blamed on "someone else used the card." A signature on a check is somewhat more difficult to weasel around, although of course many may have used assumed names and separate "special purpose" bank accounts for the payments.

The F.B.I. also claimed, at the time charges were filed, to have copies of the "newsletters" (some quoted at the above site) that the madame distributed to her employees clearly advising them that they are expected to provide "sexual services" and would be fired if they refused. If the "quotes" at the s.g. article are accurate, there is little question about the nature of the "service."

John

First of all, we don't know if she is, in fact, a "madam." Second of all, if whatever she is doing does not involve minors or coercion, we have no business in her business. Honestly, in another thread we have been arguing about the government's meddling in the "right" to own a lethal weapon. It seems to me that consensual sex among adults is far more benign than that, and should be left alone. We have far bigger fish to fry.

Gotcha, Graham. I agree with you. It's just that I don't agree with so many posters as to Clinton being the lily-white good guy while the people who are on some high-class pimp's list are all bad guys. The list will prove to be one that has the names of some highly-placed Democrats, too. I'd expect some of those names to be those of women customers. Then the shit WILL hit the fan.

Unfortunately the American and Canadian colonies had no practical system of investigating the aliens arriving on ships from Europe; as a result a large number of puritans and others of that ilk were able to take up residence.
Protected as they are by current constitutional provisions, it is impossible to class their descendants as illegal aliens and deport them.

Anytime sex comes up in an employer / employee relationship it's ugly ... just not as ugly as a video of Rove or Cheney with their pants around their ankles.

I'm not against politicians having sex with whoever or whatever they lust after (eg consenting pandas of legal age), I just don't like sex getting mixed up with money & lies.

The difference is the GOP have wrapped themselves in a flag of "family values" and "true" patriotism judging anyone who didn't adhere to their rules of life, i.e. white, male, married, monogamous, no minorities,no gays, no independent women, etc. THEY are TRUE hypocrites as is evident every time one of these scandals come out.

That may well be. And I don't doubt that the list will have Democrats on it also. However, Clinton was no less hypocritical with his jaunts. He did it on taxpayers' time. I still see little difference. No, hypocricy doesn't 'float my boat', and the implication it does is mildly insulting. I still see little difference. If you need an excuse to rant at Republicans, there are hundreds of valid ones. This isn't, IMO. And finding that Republicans (or Democrats) are hypocritical--gee, that's not news.

Depends whether hypocrisy floats your boat. The problem is not that he used prostitutes (or "masseuses" if you like), but that he and his mates have been publicly damning everyone who was ever promiscuous or unfaithful whilst privately getting their end away with callgirls.

Just looked into the yellow pages of the phone book in my city; all sorts of escort services (one adv. covers two full pages and offers "upscale girls to your door in minutes;" all colors, college girls, mistresses, etc.).
Beautiful Brazilians, China dolls, friendly 40's, irresistible 30's, Adventurous Housewives, Light weight, Full-bodied, Ravishing redheads, Fit and firm, All requests, Dominatrix, Aussie blondes (for Bob B.?), Greek, East Indian, Double Duty (2 for double the pleasure), Mrs. Robinson (hummm, she's getting sort of old).

Take your pleasure, gentlemen!
