Subject: 'Joyeux Noel' carol - mistake From: GUEST,Murray on Saltspring Date: 15 Jun 07 - 06:58 PM Has anyone besides me noticed [with annoyance] that in the film "Joyeux Noel" [English title "Merry Christmas", maybe], the opera singer on the German side sings "Adeste Fideles" very nicely BUT says [and repeats] "Venite adoramus" - not "adoremus"??? I can't think how that got through. The original music btw includes a supposedly Scottish song about home, the tune of which [the composer was proud of it] doesn't sound too Scottish to me. |
