Subject: BS: When It All Comes Together From: wysiwyg Date: 25 Jun 07 - 10:38 AM I learned a long time ago, working with families and individuals, that sometimes a point comes when an individual's situation requires that people who have not been "sharing" with each other are suddenly thrown together by circumstance and, out of concern for the loved one, start exchanging small tidbits of non-confidential stuff that has been, until then, quite puzzling. All of a sudden a clear picture forms, and after that, whatever was bullshit is no longer hidden. One hopes to respond with compassion at such a time, and if one has been bamboozled often enough in life, compassion and a certain degree of tolerant detachment can occur. Even, sometimes, before the jig is actually up-- when just the smell of a teetering jig is in the air. And then sometimes, whether there is compassion or some other reaction, there is also a BIG, SH*T-EATING GRIN. Nonversationally yours, ~Susan-with-a-BSEG |
