I was at a beer festival/music event and saw a whole family with these tents in 3 different sizes. They certainly are easy to errect!

look at this range

I'm thinking of buying one to compliment my other camping euipment for a short overnight stop.

You can get tents cheaply these days on the high street (well two man ones anyway) and they're dead easy to put up. I'd reckon about half an hour tops the first time then it gets quicker. I've not tried the pop up ones but I've heard plenty of humourous stories about trying to get them back into their bags after use. I'd also suggest you take warm cloths/bedding as it can get really cold even in August and ear plugs are always a boon I find.

Look like fun to me I've seen them for under £30.

Pop ups tend to be a bit more expensive and the bendy pole type have both greatly improved and reduced in price of the last few years. There will always be somebody about to give you a hand the first time.

Happy re-camping!

I'm going to dip my toe back into the world of festivals and camping.   As I will be on my own and a rather incompetent tent assembler, I have been looking at pop up tents. Looks like they go up easy and then collapse into a circular bag for carrying ( easier on public transport ?).   My only quam is that they may not be very sturdy but that may not be too important as I'm am not likely to be camping on the side of a mountain

Has any one any experience of these ?

Thanks
J
