Today, about noon, I received a very nice frame with a certificate within it that says that a star has been named after me. Reading further, I see that it was precipitated by "friends" of mine here at Mudcat. I suspect I want to say thanks to some of you. At first I was certain it must be good ol' Martin Gibson. --==- People, who is to blame for this???

Cat laughing, do you really think? She sometimes sneaks and slinks up on me like fog out of cyberspace and rubs her whiskers and bod against my legs. Then she runs off and uses the sand box. A fickle Cat she be---or so says I. There must be more to this though.

Right now I need to go and use the duct tape to remove all that fur I just noticed all over my pants!

I should've figured. Seems that Mudcat is now like a nebula---an amazing star forming section of cyberspace unto itself. (I guess we ought to nominate Azizi for our own dark matter ;-) whatever it is! It can't be bad---good as she has been to us!

Now you're stuck with it, you've gotta feed it, burp it, change its nappies, make sure it gets proper sleep and exercise, bail it out of jail, and teach it how to have safe sex (once it's old enough, of course).

That sounds like a horrific bunch of responsibilities.

Yes, yes, I'll do all that if I must. But the least you could've done is to paper train the damn thing. It's spewing super hot magma all over our little apartment. Carol is out at this late hour trying to buy more fire extinguishers. Whoops there goes the gerbil---up in flames. Very pretty actually. We'll have to buy more of those. I wonder what the crispy little furry things taste like---all golden brown and crunchy. Hmmmm, very tasty actually! The flavor is somewhere between a bald eagle and a trumpeter swan!!!!!

HAHAHA!!! See the Mudcat Living Treasure Award thread, Artdarlin' and you will see that Jean Ritchie is a Star, too! I imagine we'll be hearing from Sandy and Caroline, soon, too. The star thing was all Rapaire's doing except for our collaboration on what in the heck to say when you've only so many characters allowed on the certificate.

Just think...you can be on an all-time Natural High jist floatin' round up there...say "Hi" to Kirk and all the crew, will you?**bg**

Sorry about the fur...duct tape'll do wonders, though!

Limpit is a star somewhere in the firmament too... she had hers done by a Mudcatter too - a 'Catter who's not been around for a few years.

Somewhere in the house there's the piece of paper to tell us exactly where it is but for the life of me, I've no idea where!

Just got on line today. Everybody, your thoughtfulness scores a lot with me. (Translation: It's the thought that counts!! ;-) It's nice to be a star even though I feel more like a black hole what with the apparent massive clutch of gravity I must be generating in order to pull all the nice things you have said to the proximity of my person.

What the above actually means is that I'm speechless---and I ought to remain that way in order to not "remove all doubt"---as the old adage recommends.
