Subject: Tech: TV onto PC projector? From: folk1e Date: 11 Aug 07 - 11:50 AM I want to display a realtime TV program (UK) on a PC projector ..... is it possible using a video recorder to decode the PAL signal? This is a 1 off so I would prefer not to have to buy a TV card for the laptop, but I don't know if it is possible ..... or just too much hassle. |

Subject: RE: Tech: TV onto PC projector? From: Joe Offer Date: 11 Aug 07 - 03:00 PM I'd guess the easiest way would be to use a VCR as a tuner, and plug that into the projector - but that depends on what output plugs you have on the VCR, and what inputs you have on the projector. Might be cheaper to get a TV card for that laptop... -Joe- |

Subject: RE: Tech: TV onto PC projector? From: folk1e Date: 11 Aug 07 - 06:34 PM The VCR has only audio jacks, ariel (in and out) and scart sockets. The projector is a BENQ with audio and video jacks (coaxial), USB, S video, and D-sub/comp (15 pin) inputs! I assume the sets of inputs are not compatable with the outputs. |

Subject: RE: Tech: TV onto PC projector? From: Bernard Date: 11 Aug 07 - 06:52 PM You should be able to do it simply enough with a SCART to RCA (phono) with yellow (composite out), red (audio out right) and white (audio out left) plugs. The same applies with DVD players. The adaptors are easily purchased from pretty much anywhere that sells TV and Video equipment... Maplins definitely have them. |
