At various times, I know some of us have posted to specific radio threads, i.e. Hober, when we hear anudder Mudder's music being aired. Today, while listening to the local alternative station, I thought why not have a general "heard it on the radio" thread, kind of like the "read it in the newspaper" only about music.

So...my first "heard it" is Ry Cooder with V.M. Bhatt doing "Ganges Delta Blues" from their album, "Meeting by the River." I am sure many of you already know about it as it came out in 1993. Anyway, I really liked it.

What have you heard, lately?

Hi, Kat. Yes, we listen to the radio. I'm guessing the reason your thread never drew much interest is because it's too general. Sort of like starting a thread called "Anyone want to discuss music?" Or, as someone put it in another recent thread, "Remember the time we drank beer?"

I get depressed if I miss A Prairie Home Companion and Wadda Know on public radio

Broadcast radio? Seldom, but I listen to internet radio all day long. Currently listening to An Emigrant's Daughter on Live 365 "Celtic Melt".

I listen to CBC radio more in winter, in the studio and at night. I'm presently kinda addicted to CBC Galaxy folk music channel on satellite TV, on which I've 'first heard' a lot of great music.

Well, maybe Jim, but at least I limited it to music!*smile* Actually I had in mind the long-running thread "Read it in the newspaper" and thought I'd apply it to radio music, whatever that is! I think it would include internet radio, too. I'm just interested in what you all are hearing, esp. specific pieces that you like.
