Subject: BS: I've had 'em cut off! From: Dave the Gnome Date: 23 Aug 07 - 01:59 PM ...Me priveleges that is! Tried to get on the 'cat from work today and got the dreaded poxy server message about a non business site. They will let me on out of office hours but not even the 'cat would entice me to work O/T if I didn't have to:-) What on earth can I do while I am waiting for a scan of the SAN, looking for disks that don't exist? What can I do while I am waiting for the OS to be installed for the 74th time this week? Reckon I could make a business case that the 'cat keeps me sane? Mmmmm. Maybe not... Anyway, can still get on from home and seeing as I have USB mobile broadband I can see me moving it to the office with me:-) Wish me luck... :D |

Subject: RE: BS: I've had 'em cut off! From: Stilly River Sage Date: 23 Aug 07 - 03:21 PM Depends on where the blockage is, on your computer at work or at the server that your computer is connected to. Bringing in a new computer won't help if the server isn't letting it through. Sounds like you need to find a proxy for your proxy. SRS |

Subject: RE: BS: I've had 'em cut off! From: Dave the Gnome Date: 23 Aug 07 - 05:26 PM It's on the poxy server(s). That is using the company intranet. If I use my USB broadband modem I don't go through the company network but through the one I am using now (T-mobile). Where there's a will there's a way:-) (or a lot of relations...) :D |
