Subject: BS: Political question From: kendall Date: 20 Sep 07 - 08:14 AM I'd appreciate some input on this. I was watching Hardball with Chris Matthews the other day, and his guest, whose name I promptly forgot, stated that Fox was the only channel that carried the President's speech on Iraq. Then, he also stated that Fox refused to carry the democrat's response. When I mentioned it to a republican friend, he said Fox did carry the response. Another friend, a democrat, says the republican friend is mistaken. Does anyone know? |

Subject: RE: BS: Political question From: Jeri Date: 20 Sep 07 - 09:09 AM Fox network stations didn't air it - they went back to primetime programming. Fox news channel apparently did. Story at mediamatters.org |

Subject: RE: BS: Political question From: Rapparee Date: 20 Sep 07 - 09:17 AM There is a transcript on Foxnews.com of the Democratic response to Bush's September 13 speech here. In an article on the speech that appeared on the Fox News website it states "Watch Bush's speech live on FOX News Channel or FOXNews.com at 9 p.m. ET., and watch the Democratic response delivered by Sen. Jack Reed immediately afterward streaming live on FOXNews.com." So...the Democratic Party's response was at least carried on the Fox website. Whether or not it was carried on television I couldn't say, as I normally don't watch anything other than the Weather Channel and the local news. |
