Subject: One Million Voices concerts cancelled From: C. Ham Date: 15 Oct 07 - 05:54 PM One Million Voices, a grassroots organization of Israeli and Palestinian peace activists (and supporters around the world including myself) was planning simultaneous peace concerts this coming Thursday in Tel Aviv and Jericho. Unfortunately, death threats against the Palestinian artists and organizers, by Palestinian groups opposed to peace and a two-state solution, has forced the cancellation of the event. Subject: RE: One Million Voices concerts cancelled From: C. Ham Date: 06 Nov 07 - 05:53 PM There is an article about the One Voice peace rally in Ottawa on the Ottawa Jewish Bulletin newspaper site written by "Michael" Regenstreif. I checked with him and Michael is, indeed, Mike Regenstreif of CKUT and much other folk music fame. Mike is now assistant editor of the newspaper and said the article would be up on the website just until the next issue on November 19. Ottawa Jewish Bulletin site |
