Subject: Tune Req: feart for mrs mackay?? From: fergus o'strange Date: 28 Oct 07 - 07:33 AM my late father used to sing a scottish song, i don't know where he learned it, and sadly ican no longer ask him. it begins: "if you'd seen me before i got married you would have said 'there's a man'. but just like the rest i was captured, and that's when ma troubles began. for the boss of the hoose is the missus, and i sometimes myself have to laugh. though i'm six foot three she's the boss over me and she'sonly four foot and a half. cos i'm feart for mrs mackay..." any help with the title, or who wrote/sang this song would be most appreciated. thought it might be harry lauder, not sure tho. |
