Nu-Routes & Wicked Events has managed to bring together another set of outstanding musicians who don't normally play together. This project will be led by Eleanor McEvoy, and joined by The Tim Edey Band who recently gave an impressive performance on BBC's ....'Later' – with Jools Holland.
The 4 musicians have put together a special show incorporating elements of all of their repertoires. They will be bringing to the stage, traditional Irish music, blues, contemporary song and a lot more.....
Eleanor McEvoy , is a seasoned session musician and orchestral fiddle player who first shot to prominence with her song 'A Woman's Heart' which became the theme and title track to the largest selling album, 'A Woman's Heart'. Her version of the song sung by Mary Black became an immediate hit and the song is now a recognized Irish standard with countless cover versions.
Tim Edey has played in some of the finest Celtic bands including Lunasa, Mike McGoldrick band and Session A9. He has also toured and recorded with the renowned Irish Dance show 'Magic Of The Dance' and artists including Sharon Shannon, Dezi Donnelly, Karen Casey, Capercaillie, Seamus Begley and Flook. At 27 he is regarded as one of the finest melodeon/accordion and guitar players of his generation.
Brendan Power, a stunning harmonica player who has recorded with Sting, Van Morrison, Paul Young and Shirley Bassey, classical guitarist John Williams, flautist James Galway and Irish singer Mary Black amongst many. He is equally at ease on both the earthy Blues Harp as well as the sophisticated Chromatic Harmonica, which he tunes to his own personal scale to create a highly original style.
Lucy Randall was inspired to take up the bodhran after seeing legendary Irish band De Dannon, and is now considered one of the most versatile and creative players of present time for her taste and expertise on bodhran and other percussive instruments. She has played with Sine, the Mike McGoldrick Band, The Oyster Band, Flook and toured with Seth Lakeman in 2006.

Reviews
"What started out to be a tranquil concert turned into one of the most mind blowing gigs I've seen in years. They improvise, take risks and have a pile of fun. They had the audience captivated! It's folk Jim but not as we know it...."
Phil Hardy www.kerrywhistles.com

"Abundant display of virtuosity, fun and unique combo sound from multi-instrumentalist Edey, harmonica hero Brendan Power and excellent percussionist Lucy Randall"

"It was a real privilege to listen to such incredible musicians. The fact that all other musicians performing at the festival that night crammed into the room and stayed for the entire set speaks for itself – they applauded the amazing musicianship as much as we did"
Peter Chegwyn, Festival Organiser
"The musical genius and multi-instrumentalist Tim Edey is joined by the harmonica virtuoso Brendam Power and Lucy Randall on bodhran, cajon and tambourine for a romp through various cultures and musical styles. Irish, Blues, Jazz and much more all crammed into this beautifully honed album....."
Music In Scotland
"Brendan Power reaches astonishing heights of technical brilliance...."
The Guardian, London
Any audience left in the hands of these daring musicians will find itself led on a musical adventure, as they drift effortlessly between haunting Kerry airs, stomping rhythm and blues, intricate Bulgarian melodies, uplifting Irish dance tunes, laid back Caribbean rhythms, and much more.

Saw Tim Edey in Sheffield a few months ago. Awesome. And that was just on the guitar - he never even brought his melodeon with him!
