Subject: RE: Song Circle at SINSULL's Feb 2 From: SINSULL Date: 01 Feb 08 - 06:31 PM Jeri, I have been insulted by the best. That pathetic attempt at putting me in my place never even registered on the insult scale. |
Subject: RE: Song Circle at SINSULL's Feb 2 From: Jeri Date: 01 Feb 08 - 06:24 PM I'll be getting in touch with Tom tomorrow. My mechanic thinks it's a bearing, but he wants to hear it first. For it to make noise, I have to drive for 20 minutes or so, some of it at highway speeds. Trying to warm it up in todays sleet AND hear it wasn't successful. I'll drive it to work on Monday, but not as far as Maine. (I can't believe I wasted a perfectly good insult up there!) |
Subject: RE: Song Circle at SINSULL's Feb 2 From: maeve Date: 01 Feb 08 - 05:55 PM I'll do my best to send along good clearing weather for Saturday for safe travel. Sing pretty y'all. I'll be listening from here. |
Subject: RE: Song Circle at SINSULL's Feb 2 From: SINSULL Date: 01 Feb 08 - 07:59 AM I will put out some hot nibbles and cheese while The Tuscan Stew warms up. Some crusty bread and we are all set. |

Subject: RE: Song Circle at SINSULL's Feb 2 From: Jeri Date: 31 Jan 08 - 04:31 PM Mary, I'm sure even you couldn't eat ALL the stroganoff. Maybe I should bring wodka. (I'll bring wine.) |
Subject: RE: Song Circle at SINSULL's Feb 2 From: SINSULL Date: 31 Jan 08 - 04:11 PM WHEEEE!! I don't have to cook! I will supply the bowls. M |

Subject: RE: Song Circle at SINSULL's Feb 2 From: Jeri Date: 31 Jan 08 - 09:15 AM Oh, I'll be there. I'm going out for a nice drive today, because I have fears of the mechanic saying, 'WHAT noise!?' Then, I drive to or from Maine or go to work on Monday, the wheel goes flying off and I spin to the shoulder where I hit a lump of something (probably a frozen formerly-indecisive squirrel) and flip over several times before coming to a stop upside down with gas leaking all over which lights on fire from a dangling sparking wire, and I'm trapped, screaming, because the seat belt's stuck and I left my switchblade in my other bra... If I don't die, I will enjoy the chicken, the stroganoff, and limoncello. I could maybe think of some sort of food to bring too. At least Mary has a volunteer to clean the bathroom. |
Subject: RE: Song Circle at SINSULL's Feb 2 From: Charley Noble Date: 31 Jan 08 - 08:50 AM Love stroganoff! Looks as if the entrees are covered. I think I'll work up another cheesecake. I wonder how it would taste with Salsa topping? Maybe it's better to have Salsa on the side. Cheerily, Charley Noble |
Subject: RE: Song Circle at SINSULL's Feb 2 From: MaineDog Date: 30 Jan 08 - 09:39 PM Hi, As things stand now, I plan to come around 5: pm, with beef stroganofff. Dex will stay home this time. Any takers, or are you all vegan wimps? MD |

Subject: RE: Song Circle at SINSULL's Feb 2 From: Jeri Date: 30 Jan 08 - 01:50 PM I have a car that's either going to be fixed or is staying home. It moves, but sounds like I have a bad bearing, or (shudder) ball joint, and the soonest I can get it in is Friday. I might have to get a loaner or rental or something. |
Subject: RE: Song Circle at SINSULL's Feb 2 From: SINSULL Date: 30 Jan 08 - 01:42 PM So the cook was good last year but isn't anymore? I am confused. So we will start at 6PM as ususal but since I will be home, anyone who shows up early is welcome...to clean the bathroom. |

Subject: RE: Song Circle at SINSULL's Feb 2 From: Jeri Date: 28 Jan 08 - 02:07 PM The earlier time is OK for me - it'll be nice to get there while it's still light out. Later would be OK too. Don't care. Whatever's best for you. (But I AM bringing the limoncello. Linn wants to try it and I'll take the leftovers home.) Hell - I say make it for 6, and then we'll all show up at 4... |

Subject: RE: Song Circle at SINSULL's Feb 2 From: Jeri Date: 22 Jan 08 - 09:42 AM Deb, awwww... Seriously, I'll miss those who can't make it. I can make either day - it's not like I have a life or anything. Do what you need to do for yourself. |
Subject: RE: Song Circle at SINSULL's Feb 2 From: SINSULL Date: 22 Jan 08 - 08:33 AM I am sorry everyone for the confusion. I seem to be permanently confused these days. Jacqui will publish a schedule of House Concerts and Song Circles for the year and it will be cast in concrete - you know how flexible and organized she is. |
Subject: RE: Song Circle at SINSULL's Feb 2 From: TRUBRIT Date: 21 Jan 08 - 10:44 PM Hi everyone -- no trouble with keeping Asha away from the cheese Jeri -- unfortunately we can't come -- we accepted a dinner date on the 2nd (originally we were asked for the 26th but I said we had a commitment so don't feel I can screw around with the date). Will miss you all -- only good news is we will be dining on an island with some very good cooks in a totally lovely house - so, win some, lose some I guess........ Sins - ignore my PM about what to bring.........we can't make it. I will check on what time the last ferry from Peaks is -- if not too late, I may have Tom drop me off for a while..... Enjoy.... |

Subject: RE: Song Circle at SINSULL's Feb 2 From: Jeri Date: 21 Jan 08 - 04:48 PM I LIKE visiting with the song circle critters. I think they should stay home if they fight or eat cats, but I like the dogs. Just keep Asha away from the cheese. |
Subject: RE: Song Circle at SINSULL's Feb 2 From: kendall Date: 21 Jan 08 - 04:29 PM I vote for all dogs to stay home. |
Subject: RE: Song Circle at SINSULL's Feb 2 From: SINSULL Date: 21 Jan 08 - 10:23 AM Unfortunately, we had a very bad experience at Jed Marum's first concert with an unruly dog who chased the cats, defecated in the upstairs bedroom and then barked enough for the neighbors to mention it to me later in the week. So if there is any chance at all that Dex will chase the cats, I have to insist that he not visit. By the time Dex misbehaves, the damage will be done. Alice and Ed will reciprocate by urinating in odd places and I can't tolerate that nor blame them - it's their house. As it is, it's taken a few years for Lizzie to finally show herself at gatherings. The dogs who currently visit live with cats and know better than to chase. Seamus is actually on snuggling terms with Alice and Fred. Sorry Maine Dog but I can't take the chance that it won't work out. SINS |
Subject: RE: Song Circle at SINSULL's Feb 2 From: MaineDog Date: 21 Jan 08 - 08:48 AM Well, Mary, I'm glad to see that you are finally getting sensible with you calendar! I will be pleased to come at 4 and stay a while, if the weather permits. The weather wll also determine what Dex does. If it's warm enough for him to stay in the car, I propose to bring him and see if he will behave himself? (into the car if he doesn't). If it's really cold, he will have to stay home alone. PM me with your thoughts about these arrangements MD |
