A good cure for that is anchovy paste spread on one's chest.

Anchovies on a dead mans chest,
Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!

I don't. Thanks for reminding me.

That's quite an anchoivement. (Got that in chest in time)

Don't feel I've lost my bottle, or lost it, or anything.

Feeling threadfully pleased with my "sickness".

maybe threads find their own topics. Has anyone thought of that!

If that's it, then , hurrah. We're. On . Topic.

I thought mercury was usually either a liquid or a vapor. Is retrograde a new form of matter?

It's Hell Tweed, Hell.

Thanks for clearing that up Rap. Such little oversights can be mighty perplexing. I wasn't trying to get your goat. Just define it.

   Mary had a rummy lamb
It was always in a stew.

When ever Mary was at a loss
The lamb knew what to do.

I dare you to finish that by making at least one reference to the above mentioned goat (just to tie things together real neat-like.

Mary had a little goat
She thought it was a nanny
And every time that she bent down
It bit her in the fanny.

Mary liked a certain group
Led by Jon Bon Jovi,
He sang her songs of goats and lambs
And pizzas with anchovy.

said she reminded him of a fish
But perhaps a bit more salty

Their testes and their ovaries.

Just to stay on-topic, about which I'm obsessed, must repeat

mary had a little lamb

her father shot it dead

Now mary takes the lamb to school

The last you've already read.

'giok' reekers of what, exactly?

itm, thank you for those kind words. georgiansilver, where do u (I mean 'I') send the (touches side of nose nonchalently so nobody else sees)?

Actually, my 91-y-o Mum is a star. She was named Estelle. would you adam-'n'-eve it?

A ticked-off anchovy would be either head bowed, or, present, sir.

Sorry Peace, but malt isn't my cup of tea (boom! boom!).But in the meantime, - whoops - ahem (good gried I mean grief!!) .   More senior by the moment.

What were we talking about before I so rudely interrupted myself?

During a visit to the mental asylum, a visitor asked the Director, "How do
you determine whether or not a patient should be institutionalized?"

"Well," said the Director, "we fill up a bathtub, then we offer a
teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket to the patient and ask him or her to
empty the bathtub."

"Oh, I understand," said the visitor. "A normal person would use the
bucket because it's bigger than the spoon or the teacup."

"No." said the Director, "A normal person would pull the plug. Do you
want a bed near the window?"

She kept it in the yard
Because it weighed two thousand pounds
And was cooked until it charred.

What pray tell IS a "chovy" and if an ANchovy is the rival of a chovy shouldn't the topic really be "Chovies"? Can't you folks PLEASE stay on topic? I don't want to get confused at this piont in the discussion. Fo'cuss!

"Anaerobic" means "without air." "Anchovy" must, there, mean "without chovy" (anchovies meaning "without chovies").

It's probably a medical term: "Doctor! The patient is anchovic!"
