Subject: BS: Diogenes' hard drive found!!! From: GUEST,Art Thieme Date: 20 Feb 08 - 10:34 AM Yes, indeed. It was found in an OLD landfill near Athens. On examining his hard drive, it was found he regularly cruised porn sights even though, as his blog indicated, his extreme age kept him from enjoying the fruits of his labors to any degree other than to fondly recall past dalliances and partake in the wishful thinking that was his wont and fate. A lantern with his name etched upon it was found close by too. Further looking into his blog it was discerned that he was NOT looking for an honest man! He was looking for an honest woman!!! That because of all the hookers who had lied to him over the years. Love, Art |
Subject: RE: BS: Diogenes' hard drive found!!! From: Amos Date: 20 Feb 08 - 10:46 AM Well, he came from the ancient Hellenic equivalent of the hard-ball school, you know. He was a hard-discus kinda guy. Except it wouldn't much, toward the end. A |

Subject: RE: BS: Diogenes' hard drive found!!! From: Rapparee Date: 20 Feb 08 - 06:40 PM Diogenes once took his toga to the tailor and said, "Hey, Eumenides?" and the tailor replied, "Why? Euripidese?" |
Subject: RE: BS: Diogenes' hard drive found!!! From: Amos Date: 20 Feb 08 - 06:42 PM How many togas was he ringing in? A |
Subject: RE: BS: Diogenes' hard drive found!!! From: Rapparee Date: 20 Feb 08 - 09:13 PM He didn't wear metal, glass, or ceramic togas so he probably didn't ring in any of them. Diogenes was a philosopher, not a clapper. |
Subject: RE: BS: Diogenes' hard drive found!!! From: Slag Date: 20 Feb 08 - 10:19 PM So I want to know, did they reboot Diogenes? |
Subject: RE: BS: Diogenes' hard drive found!!! From: Rapparee Date: 20 Feb 08 - 10:36 PM He was running on Unix so they did a rm -r * and started from scratch. |

Subject: RE: BS: Diogenes' hard drive found!!! From: Amos Date: 21 Feb 08 - 11:36 AM SO it was a DEL *.* command, or perhaps a PIP * command, not an rm command. And it was only transparent when he wore his ringing glass toga. But those old Greeks could make togas out of anything. Old Diio walked into a fast souvlaki shop and ordered some gyros and the boy at the stand asked him, "You want those toga? Or you wanna eattem here?" A |
Subject: RE: BS: Diogenes' hard drive found!!! From: John MacKenzie Date: 21 Feb 08 - 12:05 PM Excuse me, but it were the Romans wot wore togas. The Greeks wore Chitons and Himations, and all that. The ladies wore Peplos, both Ionic and Doric. Like the columns. So I now expect jokes about Diogenes left his Chiton the lawn or such like. Gyros (Giros)are Turkish in origin albeit the name is Greek Kebabs your uncle as they say. G |
