I re-listened to this wonderful programme the other day and as usual enjoyed the story told about the poor man who had a dream to go to London, when he got there he met a man who'd had a dream about treasure under a tree where the poor man came from. The poor man returned home and found the treasure under the tree. Anyone know who the story teller was? The programme was distinctly unhelpful in identifying who contributed what.
This is thestory of the Swaffham tinker or pedlar.Iwrote a song about it which Irecorded in 1981 on the lp the Dunmow Flitch,JezLowe accompanied me on guitar.http://www.dickmiles.com

Not one of those but it toured as Christmas Champions last December with Hugh Lupton + The English Acoustic Collective.

There is a CD of songs from the show on the Sales page of the EAC site.
And England In Ribbons is on Chris Wood's latest solo CD Trespasser.

Oh, good, then. He's got a great looking website. Maybe it was part of one of These Shows?. It's going to be fun to explore his website and get to know more about him. Thanks!

Katlaughing, yes that's the one, doesn't say who told that story.

Martin, thanks for that, a name I've heard of plenty of times but not really found out about him

Was it this edition from April 2006? There's a playlist if you scroll down, if that's any help?
