The movie is coming out with Jim Carey's voice as Horton.

The plot is similar to Contact, Arrival or many other sci fi movies with a pregancy side plot. The main difference is ryhme.

Here is an opal I have that looks like Horton.
I digitally added the tusk but I have some ivory to actually make one for this stone.
The other side of this stone looks like a donkey.

Don, I am bookmarking all your art from now on. However, ARE YOU SAVING it to a memory stick (one of those things that ya stick in the back of the computer and it stores lots of stuff--music, info, pics, etc)?

Here is a pic of a stone that is not altered in any way.
Calling it art is problematic since the actual creator was time, water and pressure.

Calling DON:

Are you keeping your stuff on a memory stick? (There's a real name for the things (Fireflies?).

Talk about your Rorschach tests! Despite much searching, I can't find Horton, nor the dog. I do see the bee, and the birds.

Flash drive, thumb drive, they have a number of names. They're quite inexpensive now. I bought a handful of 2 gig Sansdisk Cruzer drives for about $12 each to use for stocking stuffers last year. The recipients loved them!

I wish Jim Carrey and others would keep their hands OFF of Dr. Seuss. They simply don't do a good job, taking marvelous children's stories with linguistic genious and turning them into moronic middle-school potty jokes (look what they did to The Grinch).

Granted the hollywood version of the cat in the hat was a travesty, I will reserve judgement on the new Horton until I see it.

Turning a Dr. Seuss book into a movie requires a lot of padding. The original Grinch was just a half-hour TV show, and it worked. There isn't enough in one book for 90 minutes.

Oh, that's right--I did't see the Cat in the Hat either. Another one they should leave alone.

That last one, better bird, looked like the head, face on, of a court jester, you know with the funny caps with horns on either side with bells hanging off them.

Beautiful stones, all of them, Donuel. I, too, hope you are backing up your pix.
