Just wondering cos everyone has strange names in Second Life so you'd never know.

Great place to hang out is The Blarney Stone Irish bar in Dublin cos the music is fab.

Sal

Sal,
there was another thread about this awhile back...you could probably find it in a search. I'm not in Second Life so I didn't pay too much attention to it.

One of which you started!:-) If you put "Second Life" in the Thread title search filter and set it back for one year, there are several others which come up.

I think you can have cats in any given incarnation if you want to. Not just the second one.

Dachshunds, though, are only an option after you've graduated to level 50.

LOL....ain't THAT true? My friend Kath has an 8 week old dapple brown female....90 miles an hour...the cats LOVE her...Fat Sarah the Daschund Queen does NOT. There is WAR declared.

If you frequent the Blarney Stone, ms lemon, you have probably heard my sister's band, Keltish, perform there.

Carol, I may soon try to get into SL a bit, now I have a computer that might manage it - if Vista isn't too screwy for it. If and when, I'll leave a message on this thread or PM you, if you like. It sounds like agood way for me to hear music I like, and I'm a sucker for playing around with computer graphics.

If you like playing around with computer graphics, you'll probably love Second Life, Bee. You can build pretty much anything you want there, and you (or your avatar) can interact with what you build as if it were three dimensional. Definitely let me know if you get in there. I can show you some good places where you can practice building. I can't give you any tips on building, though. I have not tried to master that skill, although I enjoy watching other people build stuff.

Littlrhawk --I am sensing an unhealthy feeling between you and Dachshunds -- I already told you Mark Twain did not appreciate them - should not hat have been enough?????

Well yes I do hang out in The Blarney Stone. Does your sister come from Gloucester, CarolC? I know a band from there called Celtish. I also go to the Underground Club in Knightsbridge.

I think SL is brilliant fun and have lots of friends there

Sal

Mark Twain was a great man. I admire him. But he wasn't perfect.

(Knowing Little Hawk already made a similar joke...) Yeah, there's cats all over the place there. Mostly furries. Eww.

I go there once in a while. Usually just to fly around, or go to the "live" Science Friday thing. Then I get kind of tired of seeing porn-y looking avatars, and avoid it for a few weeks. Fun, though. If you ever see a pale, fat man called "Lepus Torok" flying around, that's me.

Ah now -- I am married to a man who thinks Twain is PERFECT.....speaking personally I don't enjoy him (Twain, not my husband) that much but have always been told this is a flaw in me rather than a flaw in Twain.

As a writer, Twain is as close to perfect as it's ever gonna get. ;-) But I was speaking of him in the entire sense, not just as a writer. His views on dachshunds are questionable at best.
