Subject: BS: Like Spitzer but frugal From: Jack the Sailor Date: 19 Mar 08 - 01:13 AM Did ya hear the one about the new Governor of New York. Instead of flying to Washington and spending 4100 per hour he takes the subway and does it at the Days Inn. |

Subject: RE: BS: Like Spitzer but frugal From: wysiwyg Date: 19 Mar 08 - 10:23 AM I think it is great that Paterson cleared the slate at his earliest opportunity. His discussion of the events was a lot more forthcoming than Spitzer's, or Clinton's, and if he and his wife worked through their problems and stayed together-- good for them! I think he deserves a chance to take care of the state's business, and that if people want to dwell on negativity they might better look to their own lives for areas to spotlight. ~S~ |

People who always see negativity in others where there might just be some lighthearted humor might want to look to their own lives for negativity to spotlight. |

Subject: RE: BS: Like Spitzer but frugal From: Rapparee Date: 19 Mar 08 - 12:16 PM I have some hope for Paterson. Just imagine: an HONEST politician.... |

Subject: RE: BS: Like Spitzer but frugal From: GUEST,Jack the Sailor Date: 19 Mar 08 - 12:35 PM WYSIWYG, I don't think one little joke is going to keep him from doing the state's business. The contrast between the two men is amusing. Of course if I were living in New York, I would prefer the guy whose...selfesteem... was so small that he thought it necessary to spend thousands of dollars just to get laid. I don't admire anything that Paterson did. But his frugality is refreshing. Hopefully Paterson will achieve his self esteem from serving his State. |
