Hey Jed, sorry I missed your post in mid-May. I missed you at Fenian's primarily due to a series of bad luck. The day before you were here, my son graduated from veterinary school at Miss. State. When we were taking him out to eat a celebratory meal afterward, our car broke down and we had to borrow his car to come back to Jackson and let he and his wife get ours into a shop for repair. Since I was w/o personal wheels when you were here, I tried to keep my driving to a minimum. We also had to get up early the day after to go back for my daughter-in-laws graduation and pick up the now repaired vehicle.

I saw you had the Gulfport visit on your schedule. Glad to see you got another at Fenian's. Do you have a show schedule yet for Gulfport?

I just booked another date there for Thu Nov 6. I'll be in Gulfport MS that next day and weekend, so it looked like the best time to return to Jackson.

Where were ya SC? We had a great night, unfortunately it was a long night for me since I left there at midnight and drove straight to Houston TX. Nic weekend there too, but I was a bit in want of sleep on Friday!

Yes - back to Fenians. I was surprised to get a call from them out-of-the-blue a couple of days ago. I hope to see you the there SC. I'm off to Houston after that ... long drive.

If he's coming to Jackson looking for deals, Big Bubba's moved over to Louisiana so he'll have to stop on his way through from TX. All our white sales now feature only that high-class imported stuff from places like China--you know... where they've re-invented technology for using commonly available substances, like lead, to produce a whole variety of products. Of course the importer is that good-ole-boy company from up in Arkansas -- they may have modest beginnings but now they're the world's biggest retailer of cheap...excuse me...inexpensive merchandise.

We might let him get by with something like "Mama's Lily" but "Marching Through Georgia" is definitely off-limits (although the crowd at Fenian's last time would have probably thought it was a song glorifying Atlanta Braves baseball).

I know Jed likes to get those good deals on slightly used sheets and pillowcases at Big Bubba's Bedsheet Emporium. He says his wife has no trouble getting out the vague kerosene aroma and the eyeholes in the pillowcases sew right up nicely. Remind him to layoff all those Yankee War songs too..............

I checked Jed's schedule today and see he's added a one-night show here in Jackson, MS at Fenian's pub for May 1. It's been over a year since he passed our way. I've already added it to my calendar.

(Hope this show can be done with fewer drunks celebrating someone's birthday like they did last time!)
