Bought a used MP3 player. It came loaded with Polish rap, hip hop, and ballads. Somehow, without the US-ghetto-blasting tone of voice ranting at me, delivered instead in this softly beautiful language, rap isnt so bad!

Polish rap in Polish = "Zakazane Piosenki" which translates to "Forbidden Songs".

Speaking of Forbidden Songs- I have a Polish friend whom I tutored before she became a US citizen. Her written English skills remained fragile for some time.

She loves Polish polkas and knowing that I'm into music she collected a few used cassette tapes at Salvation Army thrift store, copied them over with some of her favorite tunes and presented them to me.

On one of the cassette tapes was the erstwhile title: *Extreme Pornographica*. *g*

Until you hear this "rap" music it is hard to imagine how soft-mouthed it is. Since I do not speak the language, the songs I got may actually BE pornographic. We do have a significant Polish-heritage populaton here in one part of the county, so if I get any of those ladies in my aquatic exercise class I may shock them with what's on their waterproof players! :~)

:~) According to the ID3 tags, some of it is "hip hop," not rap; but some of it was nasty and mean-sounding and some warn't. It may have been suggesting I take my clothes off, for all I know. My clients will tell me, that is for sure! :~)
