Have been a fan of Keith's from his 'Sportscenter' days on ESPN W/Dan Patrick. Favorite line: Real men don't taunt!! or 'They're not...gonna...get 'im!! He sits in on Dan Patrick's radio show once in a while and it's ALWAYS entertaining, enlightening and irreverant. They have a special chemistry and are great friends off the air, too. Electing not to have cable deprives me of his show on a nightly basis, but last Sunday CDw/KO was on and I really enjoyed seeing him again. Hope his show goes network.

The text transcripts aren't a heavy load even on dialup, but the regular site doesn't go back to Oct 2006.

Try MSNBC Transcripts of Previous Shows for more recent ones.

These go back to November 1, 2007. Not far enough for the origianl of one in the video.

Olbermann starts about a third of the way down the page. Unfortuantely, they're identified only by the date - no titles/subject shown, so I've found a bit of floundering about is needed to home in on a specific one, unless you can pinpoint accurately when it appeared.

The stuff on the "real" Olbermann page appears to be all video, but if the one you want has been rebroadcast in the "5th anniversary celebration" it might identify a date of recasting.(?)

There may be an archive for older broadcasts, but I haven't found it.

I have transcripts for a few that go back to around Oct '06, but not this one.

Here (Wash DC area) they run Olbermann at 8PM....then they used to re-run it at Midnight. I must say I panicked when I missed the 8PM run and it wasn't there at 12!

THEN I saw they had moved the re-run up to 10PM!

(They had Rachel Maddow of Air America sitting in last night, and I gotta say, she is damn near as good as Olbermann! I always enjoy it when she is a guest)

Chuck Ardo, a spokesman for Gov. Rendell of Pennsylvania, said of Olbermann's disparaging comments about his boss:

"Keith Olbermann is an entertainer and his job is to attract an audience. He has no commitment to either accuracy or rational thought. Given that lack of accountability, Keith's comments have to be taken in stride."

I am confident that Olberman has a commitment accuracy and to rational thought. He attracts his audience by pointing out the lack of rational thought and accuracy in others, including Ed Rendell.

Olbermann devotes a lot of time exposing lies and irrationality in Fox news.

I've watched every Countdown for the past few weeks. I don't watch, Fox news because Keith's staff and other media watches it for me. I am quite sure that what he says about Rendell and fox news in this clip is both rational and accurate.
