Subject: BS: Anyone remember this website? From: katlaughing Date: 30 Apr 08 - 03:22 PM Long Time Ago, in A Galaxy Far, Far Away (cue the trombones and horns), in the early days of my time at Mudcat, someone linked us to a website at a small Catholic college in Texas which had actual transcripts available online of trials of the inquisition. The one I found incredibly interesting was for a woman who eventually was named a saint. She had killed her daughters to keep them from being raped, I think she drowned them. If I remember right, she was on trial for killing them. I had the site bookmarked on my old 386 which bit the dust many years ago. I'd love to see the site again and hope someone has a better memory than I do and can point me in the right direction!**bg** Thanks, kat |

Subject: RE: BS: Anyone remember this website? From: ClaireBear Date: 30 Apr 08 - 05:27 PM I don't suppose you remember what thread it was in? Not a lot of time today, or I'd love to ferret the site out for you, but I did a quick Web search on "trials of the inquisition" and came up with this one. Could that be it? Cheers (and happy early Beltane) Claire |

Subject: RE: BS: Anyone remember this website? (Inquisition) From: Ebbie Date: 01 May 08 - 07:06 PM Ye gods. I read the first transcript, that of Agnes Francou. The stupidity and ignorance and arrogance is scarcely to be believed. Sad to say that our own world could be that blinded. |

Subject: RE: BS: Anyone remember this website? (Inquisition) From: Q (Frank Staplin) Date: 01 May 08 - 08:33 PM Possibly University of St. Thomas in Houston, TX. This liberal arts, business and Catholic Studies college has a large library and access to most scholarly periodicals, and is used regularly by Houstonians. I couldn't find anything of the sort on line from them. I used to stay at a hotel near them, and often stopped to look at the monster antique world globe, made of leather, that sat in their reception area. Rice University is almost next door, and there are some courses in common. Catholic Universities in Texas: College of St. Thomas More, Ft.
