OK, it's a bit late in the day, but time flies when you're having fun.

Many happy returns of the day to my darling husband who reached the age of 74 today. We've spent the day in the company of good friends with cake, single malt and music in abundance. Hopefully Kendall is beginning to understand that he is loved by many people for himself and not just as a voice.

For myself, the best move I ever made was across the Pond to Maine and Kendall.

Here's to many more years, my love.

Your wrinkled old arse doesn't even have 74 creases in it. Do you hide pencils and old food in those wrinkles?? ***chuckle*** I will say this, folks. If you have the chance to be around the Captain on his birthday, do so. The whiskey they were passin' around was Laphroaig. Not bad, and far better quality than a shanty Irishman like meself is used to singing. And if you have to attend a birthday party for a musician attended by other musicians, bring your singin' voice. I heard songs set to Happy Birthday that I have never heard before. The best zinger was delivered by Peter from Maine. While Kendall was opening the box, and with a wonderful New England accent and delivered with perfect timing and dryness, Peter says, "The gift is age appropriate" and Kendall pulled out this fossil. I thought I was going to wet myself. Then Judy Cook delivers this perfectly wonderful dissertation about Kendall remodeling his kitche which was written by our own Sinsull. Sins, you would have been proud to hear your hilarious bit delivered perfectly.

Happy Birthday, Captain. In spite of your arse being so damn wrinkled you are one of the best people I know. And doesn't that woman love you? You married way above yourself, podnuh.

Happy Birthday, Captain. Seamus and I celebrated with white wine and chicken breasts.

The old dog is much better. No squeals since Monday and this morning I found him snuggled up in his chair. He hadn't been able to get up there before.

Lizzie wants to know when you are coming to take him home - that's her chair.

Glad I made it back here before this thread was too old. Sorry but we were celebrating a pretty fine Mother's Day with both sons and friends. With any luck and continued efforts my number 2 will be home within maybe a month. He actually hugs his Mom, smiles, and bought Karen a beautiful tree hibiscus for the day. So if your birthday was a tenth as good as our Mother's Day, you had a good one!

As far as Mick goes, remember he stuffed his thong with a spud in the back so its obvious he can't tell which end is which or how either one should look or work. He ain't put together quite right..............

I'm envious and overjoyed for you Kendall! I'll be happy if I make it to 64. Give that fine woman a big hug and be thankful she came along.
