Subject: BS: Gulliver on Mars From: Gulliver Date: 26 May 08 - 05:53 AM I'd like to inform all that among the items contained on the probe that landed on Mars yesterday was a disc containing a copy of Gulliver's Travels. This is the furthest voyage that Gulliver has undertaken, and no doubt a narrative will ensue in due course. It means that Gulliver's adventures will be available to discerning extra-terrestrials for the next several millenia (assuming they can read 17th-century English, of course). Don |

Subject: RE: BS: Gulliver on Mars From: Little Hawk Date: 26 May 08 - 09:21 AM Are you aware, Rapaire, that Shane has been preening himself in your absence from this forum. He claims that his threats to do you bodily violence have driven you clean out of North America. He says he has "scairt you off". The lad is in his glory about it, telling everyone who is willing to listen. |

Subject: RE: BS: Gulliver on Mars From: Ernest Date: 26 May 08 - 04:21 PM I know that some people consider chocolate bars drugs but I always thought that Don would prefer Guiness... Have I got something wrong here? ;0) Ernest |

Subject: RE: BS: Gulliver on Mars From: GUEST,Chief Chaos Date: 26 May 08 - 05:00 PM I'm not sure about the distance claim. It's possible that Gulliver travelled quite further than it is to Mars in his original voyages. But then again, I'm just another Yahoo like the rest of us. Wish I weren't. |
