I won't guarantee every word, but this is about it.

1. Éistig go neosfaidh mé scéal,
Agus geallaim nach bréag a chanfad libh:
Gur i dti'n tabhairne fhágas mo spré
Agus, geallaim, trí thaobh na scillinge.
Creidig mo scéal faoi dhó,
Gur minic a bhí coróinn 'na bhill' orm;
Gur i dti'n tabhairne fhágas mo stór,
Agus cailiní óga am' chuileachtain.
Cúrfa:
A dhuine, bí ciúin go fóill -
Éist le glór a' tseanchais!
Leog dos na mná 'gus don ól,
Agus diúlthaigh go deo dos na beartaibh seo!

2. De Domhnaigh, nuair a théim go ti'n óil,
Bíonn an landlady romham go hinnealtha:
'Fachtar dó cathaoir nó stól,
Agus bainíg de a bhróga agus triomaíg iad!'
Mar do bhíodh mo dhúil insa liúnn,
Do deintí breis dúthracht go minic dom -
'Come landlady open the door,
Chun go dtéimíd sa rúimín is cluthaire!'
Cúrfa:

3. Ní raibh ann ach triúr ar dtúis
Is ba ghearr go raibh cúigear 'ár gcuileachtain:
'Come, bring us some toddy, my jewel,
For here is Tom Toozick the Gentleman!'
Nuair airíos-sa m'ainm á ghlaoch,
's an title go léir á thabhairt orm,
D'fhanas ansúd ar mo phréic,
Chun gur ólas-sa saothar mo sheachtaine.
Cúrfa:

4. Thuiteas lag marbh gan céill,
's ní raibh scilling ná raol i dtaisce agam,
Ach graithin is glamar a' tsléibh,
Is an landlady féin is í a'magadh fúm,
Leogfad-sa feasta dhon ól,
Agus cnósfaidh mé ór agus airgead;
Beidh agam macha breá bó -
Is mo mhallacht go deo dos na dramannaibh!
Cúrfa:

5. Do bhíos-sa sealad dem' shaol,
's nuair a thuilinn mo shaol, do chaithinn í -
'Mister Tom Cusack' á ghlaoch
Ag an landlady fhéin i dtigh a' tabhairne.
'Nois nuair ná fuil agam scilling ná raol,
Ná aon stór i n-aon chor i dtaisce agam,
Fachtar dom Tomás Céasóg,
Chun go mbainfead a bhróga 's a hata dhe!
Cúrfa:

Joe, you'll have to hope that one of the 'catters who has a knowledge of Irish can provide a translation, there wasn't one where I got the words, other than to say that it's about someone bragging on his drinking exploits until he 'saw the light' and turned to religion.
