For those of you who don't know, Sunday was Jon's 60th birthday. As part of the surprises, we have produced a very limited edition CD, 60 copies one for each year, of other people singing Jon's songs. These include Sarah Morgan, Calennig, Mabsant, Peter Collins, Brian and Jacqui Ross, Chris Arscott, Cornwall Songwriters, Alton Community Choir, Hanging Johnny to name a few. The few remianing are going to be sold with all proceeds going to Port Isaac Lifeboat. If you want one, please pm me for deatils. I have only a few left so first come first served.

You've got a bargain, Scooby. There are plenty of good songs which are really worth filching - including Calennig's Old Soldiers, which we recorded in the beautiful Southern Alps town of Wanaka on the last of our three tours to New Zealand. So you see that Jon's Old Soldiers has been around the world and back!

Crane Driver asked how many CDs. I don't know the true answer to that. In the years I've known Jon he's not written a bad song, and he's produced numbers that are outstanding. He's used differing styles, approaches and voices. He's not scared to tackle major issues when social or political events require. He can be very droll, or hard hitting, or compassionate as required. Like all of us who write songs he is brave enough to wear his heart on his sleeve. And anyway he's a nice guy.

So the answer is lots.
