Bit of a surprise to get an email from number 10! Wassail Bill You signed a petition asking the Prime Minister to "Include dance within the historical re-enactment or Sporting Activity exemption for the purchase of swords in reference to the Violent Crimes Reduction Bill." The Prime Minister's Office has responded to that petition and you can view it here: http://www.number10.gov.uk/Page16522 Prime Minister's Office Petition information - http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/dancers/ If you would like to opt out of receiving further mail on this or any other petitions you signed, please email optout@petitions.pm.gov.uk |

Subject: RE: Sword dancing officially legal From: Rapparee Date: 15 Aug 08 - 03:05 PM Is there much of a problem with violent crime involving swords in the UK these days? Or dancing, for that matter. |
Subject: RE: Sword dancing officially legal From: GUEST,Chris Brownbridge Date: 15 Aug 08 - 05:11 PM There is a Morris Side in the Prtsmouth area who, as far as I remember, dance with ex-naval cutlasses - ie curved blades. Will that still be affected by the new repression? |
