I haven't posted one of these here for a while, but the old regulars will know what to expect. I won't even hint at the connection, but if you really can't get started (three or more correct answers)This earlier quiz may help.
As with previous quizzes "PLEASE DON'T PUT ANSWERS IN THIS THREAD!" (sorry to shout, but it always gets missed!)
Once you have a connection for the answers, they all match it!

1         Who first appeared in the film "Steamboat Willie"?
2         By what name is Norma Jean Baker better remembered?
3         What was John Wayne's original name?
4         Which greyhound from Ireland became a film star, and won the 1929 & 1930 English Greyhound Derby?
5         What was Michael Caine's original name?
6         Which is the highest peak on the N.American continent?
7         Who appeared regularly in Eastenders and then went on to star as Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady in the West End?
8         How was the character Millicent Margaret Amanda devised by Joyce L. Brisley better known?
9         Which character was central to 3 post apocalyptic film set in Australia?
10        Which cartoon character relied on his short-sightedness to get into comic situations?
11        Who was the original host of 'Mastermind'?
12        Which Abba hit got to No. 3 in 1976?
13        What is the title of the smash hit musical based on the songs of ABBA?
14        Who had hits in 1961 & 1964 with "Medley" & "Party Medley"?
15        Who had the only spoken line in Mel Brook's film "Silent Movie"?
16        Who had No.1 hits with "Do Wah Diddy Diddy" & "The Mighty Quinn"?
17        What name is often given to the appearance of the shadows cast by major craters on Earth's satellite?
18        Which 1974 musical features the song "I Won't Send Roses"?
19        Which 1942 film starred Greer Garson and Walter Pidgeon and was about an English housewife surviving WWII?
20        Which character from Sheridan's "The Rivals" gives her name to the using of the wrong word in the correct context?

As usual, I will respond to PMs claiming scores. I will also post the answers shortly (five days+) in the usual answer thread.

ENJOY!
Nigel

Okay, at this stage, just to confirm, the connection is in the initial letter of the answer, repeated
So the person who said "Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure nineteen nineteen six, result happiness. Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure twenty pounds ought and six, result misery." would (for this quiz) be "Mr Micawber". "Wilkins Micawber" would fail to get the repetition!

Two more scores, Katlaughing with 17½ & The Walrus with 20

Cheers
Nigel
