Subject: RE: BS: The Tooth Fairy From: Rowan Date: 26 Aug 08 - 06:20 PM Teeth don't drip blood unless they're being used by a vampire. And, even without fluoride, they last for aeons once you stop eating; ask any archaeologist. Cheers, Rowan |
Subject: RE: BS: The Tooth Fairy From: Bert Date: 26 Aug 08 - 04:21 PM A castle made of teeth would probably be dripping with blood. And if a flouride river ran through it it would be all brittle, cracked and yellow. Your curmudgeon for today. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Tooth Fairy From: Rapparee Date: 26 Aug 08 - 04:16 PM My brother Tony and I knocked out all of my brother Ted's teeth so we could get Big Buck$ from the Tooth Fairy, but we got Something Else instead. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Tooth Fairy From: Sandy Mc Lean Date: 26 Aug 08 - 04:09 PM I once drove a school bus. One day a five year old girl was crying and I asked why? She explained that she had dropped her tooth on the floor and couldn't find it (for the tooth fairy). I gave her a note to explain to the tooth fairy what had happened and told her to show it to her mother and then put the note under her pillow. In the note I said that I would send the tooth to the fairy if it was found. I didn't find the tooth but next morning she happily told me that the tooth fairy had honoured the note, so I thought that the fairy was very fair and understanding. |

Subject: RE: BS: The Tooth Fairy From: Ebbie Date: 26 Aug 08 - 02:37 PM When my daughter was seven she came to me with a most serious face. She said, Mommy, I know about Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny but - the Tooth Fairy is real. Isn't she? Knowing I couldn't lie to her, I hesitated, then said, Well, what do you think? She said, mournfully, Oh, no. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Tooth Fairy From: Amergin Date: 26 Aug 08 - 01:25 PM Didn't anybody see the movie Hogfather? The tooth fairy is really a troll that got tired of scaring children...and so it outsources to young women to gather the teeth for him. |
Subject: RE: BS: The Tooth Fairy From: Tig Date: 26 Aug 08 - 01:19 PM She only takes the perfect ones to build her castle with. Any others are rejected - as some children have had a note to say! |
Subject: RE: BS: The Tooth Fairy From: SINSULL Date: 26 Aug 08 - 12:47 PM A castle made of teeth? Gross! They must rot eventually or does a flouride river run through it? |

Subject: RE: BS: The Tooth Fairy From: GUEST,leeneia Date: 26 Aug 08 - 10:00 AM At the library I recently picked up a book about the folklore of modern children. The author found out that children usually believe in the Tooth Fairy, Santa, and the Easter Bunny at the same time they know they are not real. For example, if asked to make a picture, they will make the character 'misty' or transparent to show that it is not as real as a house, say. However, many of the kids are actually rather afraid of Santa Claus, who is just too big and too powerful. However, they feel tenderness toward the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny. Interesting! If Santa is too much, what about the cartoons, movies and TV shows they are subjected to? ====== Olddude, you are exactly right about the butterflies. I saw a little blue one in the plumbago (has blue flowers) just the other day. The Tooth Fairy lives in a castle with many towers and arches, all made from children's teeth. The castle is suffused with delicate blue light. We all know that your daughter is very, very special, however, this $5 per tooth stuff has got to stop. |

Subject: BS: The Tooth Fairy From: olddude Date: 26 Aug 08 - 03:27 AM My middle daughter is 27, recently while cleaning out her old room I found a note she wrote as a little girl and it read: Dear ToothFairy Sometime ago I lost a tooth. I put it under my pillow but I never got anything. Well I could really use the money right now so it would be great if you could give me some Love Kelly. She came home from Denver to visit this 4th of July and before she went to bed, I went into her room, put the note, 5 dollars and another note under her pillow. The new note read: Dear Kelly I am sorry it took me 20 years to get back to you, I hope you understand, I been kinda busy! Love the ToothFairy I am such a bad Dad! |
