Subject: RE: BS: Michael Palin for President! From: Alice Date: 08 Sep 08 - 04:15 PM Michael Palin has traveled the world and Ms. Palin has only recently gotten a passport to travel. According to her spokeswoman, Sarah has been to Ireland, Germany and Kuwait. |
Subject: RE: BS: Michael Palin for President! From: DougR Date: 08 Sep 08 - 05:06 PM And Obama had been to how many foreign countries before he became a candidate? Actually, Alice, if she has been to Ireland she's just about visited every country she needs to visit. :>) DougR |
Subject: RE: BS: Michael Palin for President! From: Alice Date: 08 Sep 08 - 06:15 PM Well, Doug, I was not thinking about Obama, but I googled it and found that her visit to Ireland was questioned as this .. can you call it a visit if you touch down at an airport. Anyway, re Obama, I don't have time to find a list of countries. He was a child when they lived briefly in Indonesia. He has visited countries in Europe and Africa. There is no logical reason why you would say "before he became a candidate". Obama has spent more time 'on the ground' in Iraq and Afghanistan than Bush. Doug, you would vote Republican if the the devil himself was the Republican candidate! I know you will find anything negative you can to slam Obama, even if it is the farthest stretch possible. Hey, this thread is about MICHAEL PALIN! Go Michael! lol |
Subject: RE: BS: Michael Palin for President! From: Charley Noble Date: 08 Sep 08 - 09:23 PM I find this video clip outrageous! Outrageously funny, of course. Thanks for posting the link. Charley Noble |

Subject: RE: BS: Michael Palin for President! From: irishenglish Date: 16 Sep 08 - 03:54 PM stigweard quoted-"Lemon curry? " To which my reply is- Fatang! Fatang! Ole Biscuit Barrel! On a serious Michael Palin note, I LOVE his travel shows, have 'em all except New Europe and the companion books for each series. I also loved his Irish Railways video. Subject: RE: BS: Michael Palin for President! From: katlaughing Date: 03 Nov 08 - 07:20 PM The somewhat important 2008 election is upon us. Silly though we may usually be, we at the Committee to Elect Michael Palin President would like to take a moment to say, in all seriousness... VOTE! Vote like the wind! Vote like you've never voted before! Vote like your life depends on it! (It may) Vote like the ice caps are melting! (They are) Vote like if you don't then the Spanish Inquisition will fry you up and toss you into a Spanish Omelet! Vote like a crazed weasel with its head on fire that has to vote in order for someone to dunk its head in a bucket of water, thus dousing the fire and eliciting a collective sigh of relief from every other potentially flammable weasel, stoat or ocelot in the vicinity. VOTE, YOU MISERABLE BASTARD, AS IF BY DOING SO YOU CAN KEEP AN OIL-DRILLING, WOLF-KILLING, IGNORANT ALASKAN MOOSE-MUNCHER FROM EVER GETTING HER IGNORANT, WELL-MANICURED FINGER ANYWHERE NEAR THE BIG RED ARMAGEDDON BUTTON! (You can) Ahem. We believe we've made our point. ***************************************************** And now back to our regularly-scheduled silliness... ***************************************************** SPLUNGE! Until next time... Your friends at the Temporarily Serious Though Usually Quite Silly Party P.S. If you're not a U.S. citizen, please feel free to close your eyes and vote metaphysically. |
