They're polar bears from Greenland of course ...

But, since Greenland is covered with Ice ( since 1200 or so)...

Ah yes ... but with the ice caps melting and losing their white sparkle, the bears camouflage is evolving - plus they are demonstrating their sympathy and simultaneously protesting against ehanced global warming.

(ducks for cover)

(what have ducks got to do with it asks BB - this is about polar bears ...)

No, the ducks make sense.

Ducks eat algae, do I presume you are saying that the polar bears will now be feeding (on) the ducks? Like chocolate covered sharks, I guess...

Tsk,

Now if you'd read my post you'd see that I quite clearly said they were demonstrating their sympathy ...

... I didn't specifically say it was for the ducks but I suppose as long as the ducks can help the Bears to keep themselves clean they can all roll on together without gathering any more moss ... I mean Algae ...

(jumps back from waters edge - wonders "are you sure that's chocolate?")

Sloths do it too... they have ridges along their hair so the algae finds a happy place to live.

In case any of you non-Viking, non-danish, Greenland-curious folks are looking for information on the icey-land (not Iceland).

Nasty buggers, Polar Bears, and they deserve all the Algae they get.

Your Two-Toed Sloth, now, they never do anyone any harm (shut up, tree!) and they not only get Algae, they also get a fly that lives in their fur, and nowhere else.
They're never fully employed, either, and spend most of their life hanging around.
