When we were in Saudi working for Aramco we had a BS level shaped like an English Bench mark. It was on the wall in the Gents and we'd move it up and down to indicate the level that day.

The really funny part though is that some manager removed it one day.

He was about 500 ft. above me coming out of the sun & I ran out of speed, height & ideas all at the same time!
(the Cranwell clutch for those in the know).
