Not a band name as such, but once was involved with a club that went by the name of PUNCA (Peurile Uncouth Neurotic Childish Art ) reputedly a quote from an Arts Teacher to Peotry/Folk Music et al. Great name for a Band tho?

Always wanted to call or band "The Elastic Band" be cause we're stretched to provide a full line up at most gigs.

Other alternates include "DIS" which can be expanded to DISBAND Should DISBAND

The Bards - because we've been barred from almaost every place we've played

I was once in punk bands named: "The Goodrich Blimps" and "2.5 Children". There was a band from Boulder (I think) Colorado once called "The Dancing A$$holes" ("Making rock & roll dangerous again...")
Personal favorites:
Southern Culture On The Skids
DC-10 & The Engine Mounts
Elvis Hitler
The Thin Lads
I'm saving this one for if & when I ever play again: "Globe Of Dudes"- refers to some driving instructions- long story

I always liked the name, 'aardvark and no money'. I often saw them listed at festivals but never got to see them.

Played with a band called Cardboard Fishcake once.

We considered changing the name to:

The Gyrating Space inspectors.
Sell your limbs
Bludgeon the Seabird.
Give me your knees Douglas.
Blackpool needs Olive Baxter
High altitude babies on Mountain tops numbers one and three

But then we didn't.
