With all of the creative minds we have here, I'll bet we could come up with a project to submit to Google for their Project 10 to the 100th, esp. involving music. How about 'catters?! They welcome submissions from groups.

we certainly fit into the category "Community: How can we help connect people, build communities and protect unique cultures?" Mudcat does each of those things, including protecting, recording and sharing blues and folk music and ideas and information about this music.

I agree kat, we should consider a project.

There is money going for projects, ideas. First, at the least, people could email details of this site to friends or contacts who volunteer, or who work for service organisations or for projects that help people/ the planet in some way.

If anyone has an idea specifically that could come from Mudcat (eg collecting and preserving the music from a particular culture which is under threat; or doing research into sharing music between warring cultures to promote peace/ reconciliation/ or research on music and its ability to assist with health / healing /ageing issues)

then I'd help in writing the proposal (I've written three successful proposals for funding in the past). But the person with the idea may have a better idea already, or maybe someone already has a proposal that has been previously rejected, and they want to try again.

It does sound interesting. Hmmm. I'll give it some thought.
