That was hilarious. Loved the deconstruction and performance art and the yodeling.

2 out of the 3 cats are "call the RSPCA" obese.

It must have taken some doing to get the cats so accustomed to cameras. When we take pictures of our cats, they stare transfixed at the camera, a strange new object.

For example, in the scene where the gray tabby is batting the ginger cat's tail, she ignores the camera completely. My cat would never do that.

We had a siamese who almost certainly knew what a camera was. During his lifetime, we had virtually no photos without him in them.

He recognised two-dimensional pictures. He watched TV too, but only nature programmes. Peering out from behind the settee when dogs or other large carnivores were on, and trying to get into the set to get at small creatures, even when they were blown up to screen-filling size.

Can I get the address of that cute engineer? (The silver fox one that is.... although the skinny one had his moments...)

Thanks for a good laugh on a crappy Tuesday.

Saw that a while back - it is cute and funny!

When I was a kid, my extended family would sometimes gather in huge numbers, all kinds of cousins and uncles and great aunts from all over the continent. One of my teen cousins would sooner or later capture one of the house-allowed barn cats, stick the poor critter under his arm, its tail in his mouth, and pretend the scandalized kitty was a set of bagpipes. Cat yodelling and a few snarls, spits and growls would ensue. I always felt sorry for the cat, but most considered it hilarious.

To think that cousin has been a sedate evangelist preacher for over thirty years now!

When she found out a few months ago that I was thinking of getting a cat, Katlaughing sent me the link. It is very funny!
My daughter's got 3 cats, and I made sure she got to see it.

Did you notice the peanut-butter-and-jelly theme?

My husband is not an engineer, but he works in an engineering firm. One day he told me that most of his young co-workers live on White Castle hamburgers ("sliders"). No vegetables, no salads, just sliders. When White Castle had a sale, they bought them by the box, put them in their refrigerators, and ate them night after night.

When White Castle left town, there was panic. They probably switched to a diet of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches at that time.

Kansas City is an engineering center, and the large, fine supermarket near me has an overheard sign that merely says 'PB&J.' That way the engineers don't waste time on food that you have to wash or cook.

Peanut butter and jelly. The food of the men that put Man on the moon!

'Can I get the address of that cute engineer?'

Hi, Liz. I know what you mean. I love dark eyes like that. (the DH has them.)

There's a follow-up video in which he says he received several offers of marriage. I don't believe it's because of the cats. I suspect that 'corporal cuddling' is the draw.

However I wonder whether I could be truly happy with someone who thinks that switching from red jelly to orange qualifies as adventure.

I am reminded of that wonderful song about wanting to be a female engineer...

Yeah, that one. Also those old folk songs 'The Passing of the T-square' and 'Lament for a Slide Rule.'

My husband's company used to give out mechanical pencils. They don't any more, because the new guys don't know what they're for.

I just loved the Cat Yodelling. I laughed so much, I cried. So which Festival is going to have it on the saturday night concert next year? Bathsheba Everdean, my long haired black and white matron, was looking on trying to find out where all the noise was coming from [cat noises not Cats laughing] and getting rather miffed that we were laughing at those 'poor pussies'. Thanks for the link. Wonderful

What do engineers use for birth control?
Their personalities:)

No, no. Engineers are like porcupines. Nobody can picture how they ever make love, but somehow they do.

Or perhaps they are like giant turtles, who have ways we don't understand of figuring out who is which sex and signaling their intentions.

Whatever the process is, it's subtle. Most of my husband's engineering coworkers have never seen downtown.

There are computer programmers a bit like that here....

You know; the sort who can spend £80 in the supermarket and bring home absolutely nothing with any food value.

WARNING.... CRUEL JOKE... got it in an email this morning and thought of this thread...

A fire fighter is working on the engine outside the station when he
notices a little girl next door in a little red wagon with little ladders hung off the sides and a garden hose tightly coiled in the middle. The girl is wearing a firefighter's helmet. The wagon is being pulled by her dog and her cat. The fire fighter walked
over to take a closer look.

'That sure is a nice fire truck,' the firefighter says with admiration. 'Thank you,' the little girl says. The firefighter looks a little closer and notices the girl has tied the wagon to her dog's collar and to the cat's testicles.

'Little Partner,' the firefighter says, 'I don't want to tell you how to run your rig, but if you were to tie that rope around the cat's collar too, I think you could go faster.'

The little girl replies thoughtfully, 'You're probably right, but then I wouldn't have a siren.'
