Alcohol dementia. When I was young, a doctor told me about alcohol dementia and how prolonged use of alcohol creates brain damage. I never cared for drinking alcohol, and I was glad to have that info to protect my brain cells. I need all the brain cells I can keep.

I agree. A small drink to wake up, perhaps a glass of champagne with breakfast, a few shots before the noon meal, a pick-me-up before tea time, a few belts of vodka before supper, some wine with the evening mean and a case of Guinness after the football game and perhaps a nightcap or two--hey, that's life. But serious drinking can certainly lead to health problems. Have to agree with that.

I understand that Bush will be renting out space for a 24-car garage.

Well I always thought that when a person sang with a hand closing one ear it was to let them hear that resonance. Now I know that it was to keep the brain from falling through the ear canal.

Drinking has been glamorized and used as humor.

It's just another drug of choice.

The problem is that in excess like any drug it leads to bad behavior.

It also is a physical wrecker because it can become addictive.

It's been unjustly called "The Irish curse" but fortunately there are Irish people who
will not fit the stereotype. The late Tommy Makem was a "Pioneer". Never drank.

I think drugs in general have a negative affect on the brain. Alcohol addles it.
Pot smokers in general are not very coherent in a generally intelligent conversation. (They are mostly boring).

I think alcohol may have even more damaging effects
