Subject: BS: Sculpture by the Sea (Australia) From: Sandra in Sydney Date: 30 Oct 08 - 03:21 AM Staged alongside Sydney's spectacular Bondi to Tamarama coastal walk Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi is Australia's largest annual outdoor free to the public exhibition of sculpture. The 2008 exhibition will feature over 100 sculptures from 7 different countries and will run for three weeks. Check out the dogs exhibited in 2001, the sunset pic & the fried egg in 2005, & the dropped icecream of 2006! It's been going for 12 years, & I've never been before, even tho it's only a 20 min. bus trip to get there, & it was superb. I have lots of pics to develop. Google images for "sculpture by the sea" - tho not all are from our exhibition Article & 10 pics of 2008 exhibition Video of 2008 exhibition enjoy! sandra |

Subject: RE: BS: Sculpture by the Sea (Australia) From: Sandra in Sydney Date: 30 Oct 08 - 10:10 AM Included are pics of a pair of wrens - Blue Wrens are my absolute favourite birds & a pair of superb Fairy Wrens were flying around the bushes when I was talking to an acquaintance. I have a mini-collection of blue wren images & ornaments & now I have photos of a little blue wren! All they need is cropping so the tiny blue bird isn't lost in a sea of greenery, but he's very clear. |

I was enjoying watching the children reacting with the works - the wire igloo were full of kids, a toddler was having a great time playing with bits of the wire animals, kids were running thru the Indigeneous sticks, us grown ups were also having a great time. |
