Since there is just too much going on on the third Saturday, we discussed, at the last session, moving this month's date,

Charley Noble asked about the second Sat., but Bruce, Dave and I have a gig that weekend which leaves the fourth as the only possibility.

I'll still have to make sure that nothing else is happening there on that date, but for the nonce, the monthly shanty/forebitter/ballad session will take place on 22 November.

November 22 works for me but thanks for considering an earlier date.

I still am wondering if anyone would like to join me in creating parodies of nautical songs which comment on the Election Campaign. "One More Day" certainly has great potential.
Or how about "Palin, Palin, over the bounding Main!"

I had hoped to attend this month's shanty session. However, I am singing at the Hospice memorial service in Rockland the next afternoon, so I'd best not complicate matters.

I am on duty at the museum from 1-4. Earliest I can get to Portsmouth is 5-5:30. We'll see.

Sorry to say, there will be no session for November. We had hoped to be able to move it to the fourth Saturday, but there is an 80th birthday party planned for one of the jazz players and the two styles of music just will not blend well.

However, the December Shanty/Forebitter/Seasonal Song and Ballad Session will take place on 20 December from 3:30 to 7:30 PM.

Dave - You might want to consider the Friday evening session on the 28th. We start around 4:30 and go till 9:00. PM me if you're coming and I'll hold a seat for you. Being a holiday weekend, it might be a bit crowded, or not at all - Tom

I'm going to try my best, but probably can't say for sure until that day, as I'll be staying with a big bunch of family/in-laws about 90 minutes away. It'll just depend on what else is unfolding for that day/night. Thanks Tom for the offer of a seat, and Barry it would be great to see you too. I'll try to post here as I see what's what in Nashua.
