Subject: RE: BS: Have I missed something electoral? From: Ebbie Date: 04 Nov 08 - 10:03 PM "He may have, but I have not!" Rap Rapaire, please reconsider your stance. It is as though Palin were to refuse to quit. I fear that you may become a laughing stock and we would not have that happen. |

Subject: RE: BS: Have I missed something electoral? From: Joe Offer Date: 05 Nov 08 - 02:20 AM Please remember that there are other serious issues being decided tonight. Take a look at this article from the Sacramento Bee Website: No George Bush sewage plant for S.F.Associated Press Published: Tuesday, Nov. 04, 2008 SAN FRANCISCO -- San Francisco voters have turned down the chance to rename a local sewage plant after President Bush. Voters rejected Proposition R, a lighthearted attempt to memorialize the outgoing president at the Oceanside Water Pollution Control Plant. The measure's supporters say calling it the George W. Bush Sewage Plant would have been a fitting tribute to the 43rd president. They blamed Bush for a long list of national woes from the Iraq war to the slumping economy. Some critics had pointed out the name switch would have been unfair -- to the hard-working sewage plant. The White House had declined comment on the measure, but other Republicans have denounced it as childish and stupid. |

Subject: RE: BS: Have I missed something electoral? From: Liz the Squeak Date: 05 Nov 08 - 03:58 AM So just what type is a sewage plant? Is it a brassica? A grass?? Or maybe a succulent? Whatever it is, the Bush has been uprooted and hopefully something more suited to the climate planted in it's place. Now can we merge all these political threads and leave them to wither in the sun?
