Just read on Yahoo that Michael Crichton died of cancer at age 66

As a fan of his books and the TV series ER, I will miss him greatly.

That's too bad. I liked some of his books, though his science wasn't always the best, IMO. Eaters of the Dead was one of my favourites.

I really enjoyed his books and am saddened to hear this. I especially liked his non-fiction book written about his time becoming a doctor. I think it was in This One. He certainly was brilliant in a lot of ways and so versatile.

Way too young to lose such a talent, but he did an incredible amount in the lifetime he had.

Wow - he was 6'7" (over 2 meters) tall! Great obits, terrible loss...

I was just finding out he died and wondering how I missed it, so I looked here, and I hadn't, what a terrible loss to re-suffer.

What else have I forgotten, I wonder?
