Is this about the weird stuff I got on my machine about jah.righteousness.org not being available? I can't get into the chat 'cos my machine has a nanny which doesn't like it.

Where does this jah.righteousness.org come from? I had to switch off my PC and restart it before I could get any other address. I thought I'd caught a virus. Can someone explain, please? :::-( (Trying to depict a very sad person ...) Susanne

Jah is my personal PC. It is certainly clean of virus and should be fine. Not sure what the problem is.

Hi Jah! However, that isn't my only problem. Why is it I only see rows of ???????? when I enter the chat room? I've had the problem before and suspect it has to do with Java, but the owner of the other site where it happened wasn't able to help. Normally, Java activates itself, so I'm at a loss as to what is happening here. Maybe Max knows? - Thanks, Susanne

Is this reference the outage that was or one that is going to be? I too got the message that server could not be found and the reference to jah.righteousness.com...I tried for several minutes, gave up and later was able to get in with no problem. That is the first time I can remember ever having a problem getting on the Cat....

I was in the Frankie's Trade thread, but away from the computer fetching my book when my computer crashed. I thought I had nudged the modem. I had a blue screen Ctrl/Alt/Del message, but the machine just would not respond, and I had to restart it via the power switch. After running Scandisk, and resetting the dial-up options (usual if a net session is interrupted), I tried to return, only to get Max's address (only I didn't know it was). Naturally I thought it was me. I tried using other user identities: no luck. I stripped out all the history, cookies, caches etc, and managed to get in to the main page, but from there only to the help thread. I then updated the anti-virus software which took over an hour (at 11.30 on a working night, that was not welcome) (OK, I should have done it before). Then I found things were back to normal. No viruses reported, no other errors.

Well I got in the chat room early, and Max was still there. (Sheesh - maybe *I* scared him off.) He said major upgrades to Mudcat were planned. He also said they wouldn't affect how Mudcat looked and from our end. By the time Kat signed on, Bert was using Max's computer.
