Subject: Chord Req: Dalesman's Litnay
From: Andizu

Hi All

Being an Irish man who resides in the heart of Yorkshire, I was quite surprise to come across Christie Moore's version of The Dalesman's Litnay - I had heard of the song but have only heard it played once.
But if it's good enough for Christie... lol

Problem being I can't seem to figure the chords out as his version is accompanied by very lightly played drum & mando, the other version I heard was on an acoustic guitar & somewhat louder. I would like to play this beautiful song guitar - So if anybody could help with transcribing or have their own version I would be most grateful.

Kind regards
AndiZu

I didn't spot the chords on the previously mentioned web-site so here are the ones I have.

It's (Am)hard when (Dm)folks can't (G)get their (Am)work
where (F)they've been (G)bred and (Am)born
When I was (Dm)young I (G)used to (Am)think
I'd (F)bide among (G)fruits and (Am)corn
But (F)I've been (C)forced to (G)work in (C)towns
so here' my (F)litany
From (Am)Hull and (Dm)Hali(G)fax and (Am)Hell
Good (F)Lord de(G)liver (Am)me

The positioning may be slightly out but I hope this is useful.
