Wot you just said John.

Did you catch him on Desert Island Discs?

A rather eclectic choice of records.

David

I love hearing him on programs like A Prairie Home Companion and others--he always comes up with something so absolutely topical and witty.

I barely know what he looks like, but I think I can speak for quite a number of women who will say that smart men can be sexy. Especially if that smartness is of the witty variety.

Yea - caught him on Desert Island Dix, BBC4

and I vaguely remember him on a Prairie Home Companion, but there are so many good programmes, Meryl Streep, Rita Coolidge & Ann Savoy, Rambling Jack Elliot - it certainly has a cache amongst the artistic elite. We get it a little more recent now, catching-up I guess. A folkie frient has been listening for 20 years from tapes sent to him.
