I thought it was fairly appropriate punishment, and the "criminals" shown in the local TV news report seemed to be bearing up well enough to Barry Manilow, even though obviously not enjoying their penance time; but then they went to cruel and unusual punishment by inserting "The Barney Theme."

That was really a bit too much, IMO.

in a similar vein, areas where hoodies congregate have been flooded with classical music in UK experiments. It works - but for how long I am not sure. Yoof is, by it's nature, somewhat perverse.
