I know this is being set up quite late in the day - my fault :-(

Happy birthday to both Firecat and Mouldy who share January 5th as their birthday. May you both have a good year.

Firecat has realised she has now (at the tender age of 25) reached her second half centuary and is feeling OLD!!! As far as I can see she's a long way to go yet. Happy butterfly and Who day daughter.

Many thanks everybody.....and incidentally, the people of Natal might just know me as I've been there twice, and did once play my melodeon, and also dance NW Morris on Durban seafront bandstand, after doing a workshop for my friend's side.....although it was 16 years ago!

Severn, I've been feeling decidedly mouldy of late, and I wouldn't wish my grumpiness on anyone!

Well I once played in a panto version of Treasure Island (Capt Smollett at your service), but this year's in York is Dick Turpin, which is even trickier to turn into panto, one would think!

It was brilliant, by the way. Written as usual by the wonderful Berwick Kaler (who is also the Dame). I look at it this way: If Biggins says Berwick Kaler is the best dame around, then he's Got to be good! It was the 30th panto he's done in York.

Incidentally, it was announced that this year's panto is going to be filmed and archived by the V & A, and it will be the only one to be thus honoured.....OH YES IT IS!
